If the blade hits an object the swing back blade system is designed to protect the crankshaft from damage. The 3-speed heavy duty gear box will let you adjust the travelling speed of the mower according to the mowing conditions. The length and type of grass to be cut and the weather conditions all play a part.The Masport Contractor Professional lawn mower is powered by a Briggs and Stratton 850EX ReadyStart engine. ReadyStart engines require no choke or priming so are always ready to go. The 850EX petrol engine produces 190cc of power and 11.5 Nm of torque. The higher the torque rating the easier and quicker it is to mow thicker or longer grass. Worldwide Briggs & Stratton is the most widely used engine type on lawn mowers & garden tractors. The mower offers 3 mowing functions, cut and collect, cut and drop and mulch. The 80 litre grass collector is made of fabric so the clippings are packed in easier with the constant airflow. As a commercial user you will require additional professional features on a mower over and above those fitted as standard. The Contractor 21 has a steel rear discharge flap, aluminium wheels, bumper and reinforced handle system.
